About Training Center
The Training Center at Mediakite was born of pure necessity. After a slew of freelancers came and went, we realized that freshly graduated film students had a great amount of knowledge, but it didn’t necessarily translate to working in the television industry. While they were extremely talented in shooting documentaries, they lacked the basic skills needed to complete a television assignment for a one-day shoot. So, we aimed to fix this problem.
At Mediakite, we believe that before you can break the rules, you must master them. In film, this means recognizing good lighting, solid composition and effective angles. It means making something as tame as a press conference aesthetically appealing. Even the best start with the basics: before Picasso was turning heads with harsh angles and bold colors, he was painting traditional pictures with classic brush strokes. Quality art is the outcome of wholly understanding a craft.
